Marshall, B.A., anthropology, has served on the tribal council of the Steilacoom Tribe for more than 40 years and is noted as a tireless advocate for the Steilacoom people. He is skilled in nonprofit management, career development, coaching, conflict resolution, and intercultural communication. In addition to his tribal leadership, Marshall is program administrator for workforce education at the Washington State Board of Community and Technical Colleges. He spent 13 years as the Finance Manager for the Tacoma Police Department, and another 14 years as an associate professor at Pierce College, teaching communications, theatre, and psychology.
